Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19 1965 is an American actress. She is also a producer and director. She is best known for her leading role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Following the seventh season, Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The show ended on August 13th on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received nominations for the Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's films roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), a speech teacher and educational/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian who was with English heritage. Sedgwick declares that she is Jewish and claims she attends Passover seders.
